Mark R. Cuker

Mark R. Cuker

Of Counsel

Mark Cuker is one of the foremost litigation attorneys in the country. With more than 40 years’ experience, Mark has been highly successful at achieving results in small business advocacy, environmental litigation, pharmacy mass action, and consumer class action cases.

Mark has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for his pre-eminence in class action/mass torts and environmental litigation several times. As Of Counsel at Jacobs Law Group, Mark concentrates his practice in unfair business practices and environmental cost recovery on behalf of businesses with contaminated properties

Growing up with his parents’ “mom and pop” business, Mark watched them constantly battle the unfair practices of much larger businesses. From this experience, he developed a sense of justice and passion for the practice of law at an early age. He is often called upon to help small businesses which have suffered massive losses due to the bad faith actions of their corporate “Goliath” partners, including squeeze outs and freeze outs of various types. Mark is currently representing plaintiffs in an ongoing pharmacy mass action lawsuit, filed on behalf of over 450 independent pharmacies, fighting the unreasonably and unjustifiably low reimbursements they receive for generic drugs from Catamaran (now Optum Rx), a large pharmacy benefits management company.

Mark is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations, and Public Justice. He also is a member of the board of directors of TEACH (Toxic Environments Affect Children’s Health), which has benefited from his experience in high profile toxic tort cases, such as the Toms River cancer cluster case.

His analyses of legal issues concerning consumers, businesses, municipalities, and the environment are frequently sought by the news media, and his articles on these subjects have been published in the Philadelphia Daily News, Pennsylvania Bar Association Quarterly, Toxics Law Reporter, Pennsylvania Law Weekly, and the Villanova Law Review.

He holds a law degree from Villanova University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Temple University.
