Joseph M. Profy is an accomplished litigator with 20 years of extensive legal experience handling complex corporate, commercial and shareholder matters. His diverse litigation experience includes many areas of complex litigation, including accounting and actuarial malpractice, fraudulent conveyance, insurance matters, partnership and corporate governance, derivative actions, merger litigation, qui tam litigation, securities, class actions, and general business and corporate litigation.
Born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Joe graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1995 from the Dickinson School of Law, Penn State University.
Joe is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
He began his legal career as a judicial law clerk for Judge John P. Fullam of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania before working as an associate at Reed Smith and then as a partner at Blank Rome. Immediately prior to joining the Jacobs Law Group, he was a principal of a shareholders’ rights firm.
