Jacobs Law Group is pleased to announce that Firm Founder, Neal Jacobs has once again been selected as course planner and lead presenter for this year’s Pennsylvania Bar Institute seminar on Business Divorce August 3rd, in Philadelphia, August 6th in Mechanicsburg, and August 17th in Pittsburgh. Labor and Employment Department Chair Samuel First, and Corporate Department Chair Matthew Cole, will also be key presenters for multiple topics.
This seminar will afford attorneys the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of:

- how issues arising from agreements, covenants, and securities law can affect corporate divorce
- examining damage control strategies and dissolution options
- effective means and metrics for valuing a business in a shareholder dispute

Mr. Jacobs will present an overview of the legal issues with a specific focus on the strategic interplay between business concerns and the law. Mr. First will discuss protecting business assets with restrictive covenants and other employment issues as they relate to business divorce. Mr. Cole will speak about the importance of negotiating exit strategies for owners through buy-sell and other techniques; structuring business separation transactions; entity dissolution; and the securities law aspects of business divorce.
