Law360 Interviews Jacobs Law Group Managing Partner about Dispute between Philadelphia Companies

Jacobs Law Group Managing Partner Neal A. Jacobs represents Penn Emblem Company, a Philadelphia company that manufactures custom-designed patches for uniforms, in a lawsuit alleging that Grant Thornton, a Philadelphia professional services firm, misrepresented its experience with a category of business-management software. Penn Emblem seeks to recover all of $2 million in damages from Grant Thornton.

Jacobs described the case to Law360’s Dan Packel in an interview on Jan. 5. He said, “From Penn Emblem’s perspective, Grant Thornton represented that it had a skill set that was suited directly to Penn Emblem’s needs, and it wasn’t. This gets to the concept that, for lawyers, you should only take on work that is in your skillset, and I think there’s a direct corollary to other industries as well.”
