Kenneth J. LaFiandra, Associate

With an emphasis on commercial litigation, Mr. LaFiandra focuses his practice in the areas of: corporate governance and financing, proxy fights, corporate accounting fraud, stock transfers, mergers, public offerings, and other complex commercial litigation.  Mr. LaFiandra also often serves as special counsel in bankruptcy litigation. Prior to joining the Jacobs Law Group, Mr. LaFiandra served as a litigation attorney with Spector, Gadon & Rosen of Philadelphia.

Mr. LaFiandra is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (1986) and his Masters in Governmental Administration (1988). He received his Juris Doctorate from the Temple University School of Law (1990).

Mr. LaFiandra is admitted to practice in the federal and state courts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the District of Columbia.

Recently Reported Cases

Jodek Charitable Trust, R.A. v. Vertical Net, Inc. et al., 2006 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 2639 (E.D. Pa. 2006).

Federal Court applied Pennsylvania’s six year statute of limitations to Pennsylvania’s Uniform Commercial Code, 13 Pa. Con Stat. 8401 et. seq., regarding the duty of stock issuers and transfer agents to register stock transfers.
